Busy large campsite. Good for families. Has an outside pool, no need to book for this which made it busy in hot weather. Has a large pub and playground. Lovely walks from campsite into Ashbourne and the trissington trail.

Few days camping, beautiful location. Camping fields are very spacious, the pitches are more than generous. Electricity is unavailable on grass pitches but if thats not an essential then its perfect. Its a very well maintained site, very friendly staff too. The pizzas on the menu at the resident pub are not to our taste but reasonably priced. Not a great choice food wise but luckily we had stocked up on essentials. The pool is busy at all times which is understandable being in school holidays. The games room is a nice touch however many unsupervised children can make it uncomfortable. Decent sized play area and strict rules in place to keep the noise levels low. However with that said, the rules on no fires or charcoal barbecues are not being adhered to. Overall though a beautiful place to camp and will definitely stay again.

This is very Nice Caravan and Camping Holiday Park . I only wish a Visit from the Owners / Workers on site after some really Bad Storms , to see if we were OK or that we Needed Anything to make our stay Comfortable with our Stay at Callow Top Caravan Park. Apart from the Storms the site is great .

Caravan & Touring FAQs

How much does a touring pitch cost?

Prices vary by season, pitch type and length of stay. The quickest way to see live rates is to enter your dates in the booking search. You’ll only ever see what’s actually available, with no hidden fees.

All electric pitches are hardstanding, each with a small strip of grass to one side for pegging your awning. You’ll need heavy-duty rock pegs for the hardstanding ends, and these are available from our on-site shop.

Yes. We have a number of larger hardstanding pitches suitable for motorhomes up to 30ft, larger twin-axle caravans, or caravans with a bedroom annexe on the awning. Please request a larger pitch at the time of booking.

Absolutely. We’re a dog-friendly park and dogs are welcome on touring pitches. We just ask that they’re kept on a lead around the site and that you clean up after them.

Every electric pitch has a 10-amp hook-up. On-site you’ll also find water points, chemical (Elsan) and grey-water disposal, and a drive-over motorhome grey-water point.

We’re a quiet family site with a 10.30pm quiet time and minimal on-site lighting so you can enjoy the dark Peak District skies, so bring a torch. If you’re after parties into the early hours, we’re not the site for you.

Peak weeks book up early, especially summer and half-terms. We’d recommend checking your dates and booking direct as soon as you can. Booking direct also gets you the best rate.
