A walking base in the Derbyshire Dales

The Peak District is renowned as an area of natural beauty and is perfect for exploring on foot. A number of footpaths lead from the site: take a short 20 minute stroll into Ashbourne, or a longer walk such as the two hour route to Dovedale, just over 7 miles.

The Tissington Trail is less than 500 yards away, a scenic route 13 miles in length running from Mapleton Lane north of Ashbourne to Parsley Hay along an old railway line, free of cars, pollution and noise. Footpaths lead straight from the site, and Ordnance Survey and local walking maps are for sale at reception.
